Lynne Barasch

Lynne Barasch was born in New York City and grew up in Woodmere, New York. She studied at Rhode Island School of Design, and holds a BFA from Parsons School of Design. She is the author/illustrator of several picture books. She currently lives in New York City with her husband.

She is the author of several children's books including Ask Albert Einstein, Hiromi's Hands, Knockin’ on Wood, A Country Schoolhouse, Radio Rescue, The Reluctant Flower Girl, Old Friends, A Winter Walk, and Rodney's Inside Story.

Radio Rescue was a 2001 ALA Notable Children's Book for Younger Readers, and Hiromi's Hands received an Honorable Mention from the 2008 Asian/Pacific American Awards for Literature.
